Pastor Guy and Yvonne Basso took their three daughters and left their hometown of Coos Bay, Oregon in 1985 to follow the Lord into full-time Christian service.
Prior to this Guy worked for several years in the maritime industry as a licensed U.S. Merchant Marine officer. Yvonne (Vonn) cared for her family as a full-time Mom and homemaker.
They moved to Portland, Oregon to attend Multnomah Bible College, an independent, non-denominational Bible college. Upon graduation, Guy and Vonn served with Village Missions, a missionary fellowship that reaches rural North America for Jesus Christ.
Pastor Guy accepted the call to shepherd Grace Community Church in August of 2000. Guy and Vonn have helped to cultivate an atmosphere of love for God and others.
Their three, now grown, daughters, three son in-laws, and eight grandchildren all live in the Dallas area and are all involved in Grace Community Church.
